NEW ZEALAND TREE FERNS
Tree ferns are one of New Zealands most beautiful and eye-catching plants.
Many people who visit New Zealand are under the impression that our climate is very tropical, but in reality our country is classified as sub tropical to temperate.
Although New Zealand has a warm summer the winter period can be very cold. In some areas the temperature will fall as low as eight degrees (C) below zero, so our tree ferns are much hardier than most people realise.
New Zealand still has large areas of untouched indigenous forest which are home to huge numbers of tree ferns. Most of this forest area is now under State protection in the form of National Parks, so its future is protected for the enjoyment of all.
Tree Ferns (New Zealand) Ltd is proud to be removing and saving
tree ferns only from a plantation forest that is fully sustainable
for the long term, and in turn preserving our native forests for
future generations.
